4.8kWp SOLAR PANEL INSTALLATION TO THE WREKIN HOUSING TRUST OFFICES IN TELFORD
Phoenix Renewable Technologies have installed a 20 panel solar system to the flat roof of the Wrekin Housing Trusts Offices in Telford.
The Wrekin Housing Trust installed the system as part of a trial while they look at a larger scale homes project for their tenanted properties.
The system consists of 20x Sanyo HIT240 panels with a Fronius IG40 Inverter to form the 4.8kWp system, the panels were installed to the flat roof using a special console mounting system which allows the system to be fixed without the need to disturb the existing roof structure.
As part of the installation Wrekin Housing Trust had requested that generation figures could be monitored using an internet based data management system, this allows them to display production information to visitors via screens in their reception area and monitor the efficiency of the system from a main PC located within the office.
The system is estimated to generate 4294kWh a year which will contribute towards the running cost of the main office building and allow access to feed in tariff funds which will be reinvested in to future projects.
